Greetings from an empty house.

Leon and Hank are both at their respective parents’ houses, I get the house all to myself for the next day. And I think I’m going to end up cleaning… *sigh* I made the mistake of going to Costco hungry today, and ended up with a bunch of food. I finally beat Final Fantasy X-2, and will probably not try the New Game + for a long while.

I’m rebuilding the Lego Star Destroyer, which was damaged and disassembled when I attempted to move it upstairs. I took a picture of all the pieces organized on my table, but it’s in my camera and I’m in bed, so that will have to be shown another day.

I’ve also been watching Firefly, and realizing what a loss that show getting cancelled was. I also realized something: Firefly == Cowboy Bebop.

“I also realized something: Firefly == Cowboy Bebop.” I wouldn’t necessarily make *that* comparison but there are some simliarities in theme. I’m not saying that cause of my general dislike of anime, after all Bebop is one of the few anime titles that I like.

I was kinda lukewarm on Firefly when Fox aired it but I bought the DVD set anyway and I’m glad I did. Much more enjoyable when you watch it in order… I hope the Firefly movie continues to go forward. Of course with DVD sales now influencing networks to bring back shows, we may get it back on TV yet…

(I could get into a rant about how networks are not giving new shows sufficient time to build an audience these days which is compounded by showing stuff out of order… but I’ll save that for my own LJ 😉 )

      How about ‘Fox sucks.’

It is quite clear from the beginning they didn’t ‘get’ the show, and made decisions that border on outright antipathy towards it.
