Early to bed, early to rise

So where did I leave off? Tuesday, Wednesday Thursday I was awoken by recruiters. I can’t remember Friday, but yesterday and today I was woken up early again as well. Yesterday it was some guy with a big metal ladder clanging right outside my window, and this morning (at 8 a.m.!) it was another recruiter.

Yes, I appreciate all the chances to get a job, but my sleep… my precious sleep…

  1. When I was out of a job for 8 months and got calls from recruiters they often called in the middle of my sleep time. Well, if they called at 8am they were likely getting me just before I went to bed.

  2. As a person who just put in their resignation with no job to hop to, what is your selection criteria?

I’m a little jealous of all the people I know that live in real tech areas, with recruiters and things. Things work totally opposite, here. I want to move so bad.

    1. That’s the double-edged sword about living in those areas where real-estate is cheap. If you have a steady job in your career field and you have a chance to move to an office out in a cheap area to live, do so. If you lose the job, move back to a heavy job-filled area and start over again.
