Self-defeating cycles

The problem with worrying about your health is that it can actually impact your health, causing you to worry more about your health.

I purchased short-term high-deductable health insurance and I have a doctor’s appointment next week. My mother should be happy.

Edit: Meant to say high-deductable instead of high-premium.

      1. not bad. COBRA is a rip-off for $320/month for same coverage your company was giving you… you can do a kaiser permenante personal policy for like $160/month but coverage is thru their HMO. who did you go to for your policy?

        1. Um, no

COBRA is not a rip-off for someone like me, who’s uninsureable. 20 years ago, I had a couple open heart surgeries. Nowadays, I can’t get full coverage for less than 1k/mo, if at all. I was HAPPILY paying 270$/mo for 2 years through COBRA’s MR MIP (Major Risk – Medical Insurance Program). California was subsidizing my continued full Kaiser coverage. After completing that 2 year stint, I was guaranteed coverage by the state, with my program carrier. My Kaiser premium is down to 180ish. Thx for your tax dollars.
