Yesterday, not once, but twice I was mistaken for Dom in FFXI. I got the typical fanboyish messages from random dudes who thought that my stick figure drawings were really cool and all. I can’t imagine what it must be like for him.
Yes, it’s true, yesterday I got a taste of being Dom.

“Just wanted to say sorry to your friend Hamusutaa, I felt he needed an apology. I had a friend over to a LAN party and we were playing FFXII. The dork likes my doodles alot so he stole my name for the game. So I’ve got this psycho running around with my name. I have another friend who tried to spell the word Hampster in japanese for his SN, “seeing as he is all knowledgeable in the Japanese language ” Anyone see a pattern here? I’ll put it together for you. (personally I think it was rather funny how it all turned out, and I smacked my buddy over the head a good one.) But he misspells my friend’s name in a “tell” message, ends up getting the guy who properly named himself Hampster in Japanese. I look over, and remembering the journal post by Dom just a couple days back, I comment “Hey I saw his name in that journal post the other day” Funny enough the dumb hampster kid had knocked his ethernet cable loose from the router cause he doesn’t know how to plug in cords properly. Anyways, he gets booted. Then My friend acts like a complete moron (The one who stole my name) and starts bugging the guy. You ever have your sister or brother start talking to ppl you’re talking to on the phone? It was kinda like that. My friend (who stole my name.) decides to completely ignore the fact that he knows what Megatokyo is and starts harrasing the guy (allthewhile having “Darg” appear on the screen. He knows what Megatokyo is because I made him borrow the books when they came in the mail, he knows I reallly love MT and he knows how royally pissed I’d be if he toyed with my name concerning staff of MT (or even ppl who know the staff as the matter presents itself) Needless to say I took over the keyboard apologized and pulled the plug on my friends connection.
So the basic purpose of all this was to offer an apology on behalf of my idiot buddies, and keep my forum name from being sullied. (The entire “troll hit-list” Thing kinda scares me) So ::deep bow:: gomenasai Hamusutaa. Know that your haurangler has recieved a just thrashing.”
