I seems that I’m not the only one who’s gotten their ass kicked by a bunny on Final Fantasy XI.
Also, it seems that choosing the username “Hamusutaa” may not have been the smartest of moves, because I think everyone is assuming I’m some snooty Japanese player. Last night, I healed someone, and they responded “ありがとう^^”. Then right after that, I healed another person and they responded “ありがとう〜（^＿^)”. I suppose if you’re Japanese, you can’t just say “thank you,” you have to put a smiley after it.
So I’ve had to put “I am not Japanese” in my comment field. It still doesn’t help, though.

Have you made your character yet? What server are you on?
Probably won’t be making my character until I get back from my trip to Chicago. So maybe next week. ๐ I suppose I could install it on this laptop, but do I have to be on my IP?

You might want to put that in japanese/romanji style so they will know.
But not everybody will check your profile, unless they want to party up with you.

I should put it in romaji, yes. I thought about putting it in Japanese, but in order to do that, I have to install the Japanese language pack for Windows. It might be worth it, but I doubt it.
I read the faq, but it only describe what to do with the jp ver of ffxi. Is there another faq for the US version? I want to do 2ch smilies on ffxi ๐

I haven’t had a whole lot of opportunity to sit down and really get into FFXI, yet, though my roommate has been buried in it. This roommate is also responsible for hooking me into EverQuest, which is really my main MMORPG right now. Gotta level my druid!
