AX Parts One – Infinity

Okay, so I didn’t ever get around to making entries in the hotel room, even though I did get online. Stuff happened. Here we go!

So I took a bunch of days off of work. Tuesday was the drive down with the caravan (yay, I finally have AX magnets for my car!), and I got the company of Monica in the car so I wasn’t bored out of my mind. Did the usual drive, stopped at Harris Ranch and Laval Road.

On I-5 near Burbank, we were passed by a car chase, sirens and all. Turns out later there was a shootout and they closed the freeway. If we’d been a bit slower, we would have been caught behind it. Arrive, unpack in suite for the night, go to Curry House for dinner, get online, make one of the previous LJ entries.

Wednesday was one of the only times I got out of the Tabletop Gaming room all weekend, and I spent it walking from hotel to hotel. Wednesday night, I drove to Orange/Santa Ana to meet my Mom and Stepdad for dinner. Thursday, Friday and Saturday consisted of waking up, wheeling my cart of games to the room, sitting there for 13 or 14 hours and going back to bed. I got a lot of gaming done, play quite a bit of Warcraft III (which thndr picked up for me on Tuesday) on my laptop. Not many people came and visited me, though. My brother did, and I finally got to see his new car.

After 40 straight waking hours of not being able to leave a room because all my stuff was in it and a bunch of people I didn’t know were in there as well (except for the days when I had one person helping me), I didn’t set up the room on Sunday. ‘Twas just as well, I suppose, as there wouldn’t have been many people in there anyway.

There were so many things that went wrong with my room, most importantly the location, but it was just overall a bad room. Whatever.

Ended up driving back on Monday, hit a huge chunk of traffic leaving the San Fernando Valley because the 14 was closed due to a brushfire. Got home and crashed. Went though Tuesday as a zombie, as evidented by my previous post.

Yes, I took pictures. I will get them online “eventually.”
