Long Weekend

So, Friday night, moved out of downstairs, and I had started to move my stuff down there so Leon could move into my old room on Saturday. It turned out that it took quite a bit of time on Saturday to actually move all my stuff downstairs (Yes, helped a little). I finally got everything squared away quite late, but at midnight, I walked across the way and bought my GBA Afterburner kit from Peto.

Well, I spent about an hour on Saturday night, and finished it up Sunday, but I modded my GBA to have the light kit in it. The good news is that the light works. The bad news is that I got bubbles in the anti-reflective coating which are annoying, and I don’t think I lined the Afterburner quite right on top of the LCD, because I’m getting a weird moiré pattern that makes it hard to see. I also scratched the coating a bit when I tried getting rid of the bubbles.

On Sunday, I went to the Fanime Dead Dog party. It’s true, I’m officially out of the Dealer’s Room position for next year. I think I’ll take a staff position that takes significantly less pre-con work (that is to say none at all).

This morning, I finally got to find out exactly how disturbing the garage door opening is when I’m lying asleep downstairs. It’s not that bad, except that I was awoken by someone running around upstairs first. That would probably have to have been Leon, I wonder why he was running… or maybe it just sounded like he was running.

It was recommended to me that I undergo the preventative elective surgery relating to my recent troubles. Fortunately, I can wait a bit on it, because I’m doing an awful lot of travelling in the next few months. Here’s to hoping that it doesn’t flare up again in the meantime.
