New York, New York

Yesterday was a travel day in so many senses of the word… woke up at 8am, went and got a headphone splitting thing from Radio Shack, drove to ‘s place, and had her drop me and to the BART station, where we took it to the Oakland Airport. Sat at the airport for a while, watching DVDs and stuff, showed up not too long after we got there, and not too long after that.

Sat on airplane for 6 hours. Very glad I had an extra battery for my laptop. Got to JFK, met up with and , realized our SuperShuttle was going to be more money than we thought, but took it anyway to our hotel. Checked into danpa’s room. Wandered around Times Square at 1am local time. Ate at McDonalds. Finally wandered back and slept.

Woke up too dang early. Subwayed to Chinatown for sub-par dim sum. Subwayed back. I wandered off on my own, visited the Yahoo! sales office; only knew three people there, two of them weren’t around. Got a haircut (finally). Went to big Toys ‘R’ Us in Times Square. Met up with Mike T., went down to buy last minute discount Broadway tickets, but bigdumbthing and I were spurned by the rest of the group, so we’re going to see Beauty and the Beast all by ourselves.

Very tired. But I’m going to see Beauty and the Beast, so I’m happy. Does that make me tappy, or hired?

Still need to make last minute changes to Newsletter Zero. Nervous about that. At least my feet don’t hurt, hooray for gel insoles.

Wow, it’s raining here. Not piddly California rain, either. Oh well, getting good use out of my umbrella.

Going to lie down now for a bit.
